Successfully Selling Vancouver Real Estate For Over 35 Years
David started his first year in business by winning "The Rookie of the Year" award as the number one salesman for all of British Columbia for the major national Canadian real estate company at the time, A.E.LePage. In March 2015, David received Re/Max's Platinum Award, a recognition of his continuing ability to stay 'on top of his game'.
David's family has deep roots in Vancouver. His grandfather arrived in Vancouver in 1894 from Stoke-on-Trent, England and was partner with his two brothers in W.H.Malkin & Co., wholesale grocers, located on Water Street in Gastown where The Spaghetti Factory restaurant now operates. David's great uncle William was mayor of Vancouver in the early thirties and donated Malkin Bowl, an open-air theatre in Stanley Park, to the City in memory of his first wife, Marion. He also donated Malkin Park in Kerrisdale to the City of Vancouver in 1959. David's father, James, started Malkin and Pinton Industrial Supplies in the late forties and supplied B.C. and Alberta industry through the 90's.
David, exhibiting the Malkin independent streak, opted for real estate. He loves the business but, more importantly, loves helping people. David's real estate brochure states that 'The difference is in the details', a defining comment as regards his approach to real estate.
David has been a top-performer for thirty-five years, the last twenty-five years with Re/Max. He is a true gentleman, impeccably honest and will do whatever it takes to help you realize your housing needs and goals.
David has his CRS designation. What is a CRS? The Certified Residential Specialist designation is conferred on North American real estate agents who are in the top 10% of North American real estate agents for production and ability.
David and Susan have raised the fourth Vancouver generation of Malkins, Allison and Ian, and they are a great part of their lives, great friends and lots of fun.
